Welcome to our newly established Grants Sub-committee web page. At this year's AGM Tuesday, 19 March 2013 the Tinonee Public School P&C Association Inc. endorsed the stablishment of the Tinonee Public School P&C Grants Sub-committee. The committee has been established with one clear objective in mind. This is to seek out grants, donations, sponsorship, capital budget requests and numerous other funding activities and initiaives that are suitable for financing projects that can enhance our school community. The Grants Committee will work along side the Fundraising Committee sourcing and providing necessary funds that will advance our school forward substantially further than otherwise could be achieved. Hereuner you will find not only the committee members but projects currently in the pipe line and our successes!
News
Vegie Gardens
The P&C Canteen's seven vegie garden beds and the garden shed were completed during term 3 and growing of our first lot of vegetables is underway! We anticipate that by the end of this term (term 4) we should have our first harvest to supply our P&C operated school canteen. Thank you very much to all the volunteers and businesses that have contributed to this fabulous project. Without the help of each and everyone of you the vegie garden project would not have come to fruition.
Foootpath
The footpath to the front of the school is also now complete! Thank you to both the Greater Taree City Council (GTCC) for their $15,000 contribution toward the project and Strybis Concreting for the construction of the footpath undertaken during the end of term 3 school holidays. The footpath is very useful and appreciated by all that visit the school.
Donation
A Donation of $500 has been received during August by the Grants Sub-committee from Greater Taree City Council (GTCC). Thank you very much GTCC for your continued support of our school.
BBQs is our most recent grant success. In the July NSW Government Community Grants Program we have been fortunate in obtaining two brand new Footymaster BBQs, two 9kg gas bottles, two safety valves and two BBQ tool and accessory kits total value of $1,450. The new BBQs will be an absolute superb asset to the Tinonee Public School P&C Association Inc. allowing us the opportunity to hold more frequent fundraisers where we can provide much better and greater quantities of BBQ lunches thus providing the P&C with the opportunity to generate much needed dollars to put towards the purchase of equipment and resources for the school.
